A South of France Summer Wedding

A wedding in the South of France centered around family, friends and a celebration to remember

This four-day South of France destination wedding, set at Castelnau des Fieumarcon just north of Toulouse, was a perfect venue choice for Alice & Philippe who wanted a friends and family centred wedding.

The couple, Belgian by origin and now based in London, envisioned a celebration that felt immersive. They wanted their guests to experience their wedding with them.

With 120 guests travelling from across the world, the focus was on creating a shared experience—one where everyone stayed together, where time stood still, and the setting could be fully experienced over several days.

Castelnau des Fieumarcon offered exactly the right balance. The historic château sits within open countryside, its stone architecture and expansive grounds provided a natural framework for a refined yet relaxed destination wedding. Rather than imposing over-designing, our approach was to work with the location—allowing the surroundings to form the basis of both the styling and the pace of the celebration.

The design palette was intentionally restrained. Soft blues and layered greens anchored the aesthetic, reflecting the surrounding landscape, while subtle accents of yellow introduced warmth without overpowering the scheme. Texture played a key role throughout: natural linens, considered paper goods, and florals that felt organic and loosely structured. Everything was designed to feel cohesive and calm, with no single element demanding attention.

The ceremony took place outdoors, framed by the château’s stone façade and open views across the countryside. The setting required little embellishment—design choices were kept minimal and precise, allowing the moment itself to remain the focus.

Evenings unfolded around long tables and shared meals, encouraging conversation and ease. Guests enjoyed French wines alongside Belgian beer, a quiet reference to the couple’s heritage, while candlelight softened the château interiors as celebrations continued late into the night. The overall experience felt social, grounded, and intentional—stylish without excess.

This wedding reflects how we approach destination wedding planning in the South of France: thoughtful design, a strong connection to place, and experiences shaped over time rather than condensed into a single day.
